Diversity & Inclusion
Participating in the F1 in Schools challenge is a privilege for us, and we would like to use our position to support inclusion for everyone
Gender Inclusion
As a team that is participating in a competition geared towards STEM and racing, both fields that are currently and historically lacking gender diversity, we are aware of how both are lacking in this field. We are proud to have a team in which more than half of the participants belong to a gender underrepresented in the fields of Formula 1 and STEM. We hope that through succeeding in this competition and inspiring and educating future engineers, we can create a more inclusive world.
Reaching Diverse Audiences
We have created a mentorship program for younger students all across Luxembourg. Because we have contacted a multitude of schools, we can ensure that young people from many different backgrounds can be inspired by what this competition has to offer. By introducing them to the engineering and social aspects of our work, we hope to inspire a diverse group of children to go into careers in STEM.
Global-Mindedness
Despite having a team of only 5 people, our team members have lived in 6 different countries and can speak 6 languages. Coming from an international school, we are exposed to a plethora of viewpoints and cultures, which helps us immensely in communicating with other people. By representing our school in this competition, not only are we bringing our diverse set of experiences to the table, we are paving the way for others with their own unique backgrounds to have a seat as well.
