Our team, Goldcrest Racers, is a group of five students from the International School of Luxembourg who love engineering and design. We are aiming to represent the country of Luxembourg in the F1 in Schools world finals.

Our name
Our goal is to represent our country of Luxembourg in the F1 in Schools world finals. Our namesake, the Goldcrest, is Luxembourg's national bird. Known for its distinctive stripe, that resembles a racing stripe, it was chosen as our national bird in 1960. The Goldcrest is Europe's smallest bird, which is representative of our country's size. However, it is fittingly nicknamed the "king of birds." Because of its connection to our country, its inspiring nickname and its dynamic appearance, we have chosen to adopt it as our namesake.
Our logo
Our simple logo is inspired by the elegant flight and signature colours of our namesake, the Goldcrest. The design follows the straight line motif of the Formula 1 logo, while appearing unique and clean. For more information on the process of designing this, visit our portfolio.
